LAUSD Public School Choice
Charter schools. The best way to reinvent LAUSD.
In January 2012, the L.A. School Board will decide who will run 13 new or existing schools. Instead of automatically handing the schools to the same old broken bureaucratic system, the district is considering whether to allow charter schools or other organizations to run the schools. The process is called Public School Choice.
This is our chance to help improve the quality of our children's education, by telling the School Board we want them to choose charters, because charter schools do a better job of teaching kids than other public schools.
As public schools, charter schools are committed to providing a quality education to all our kids, including those with special needs and English language learners. Charter schools never charge tuition.
