May 4 is Charter School Advocacy Day

On May 4, Families That Can and the California Charter Schools Association (CCSA) will celebrate National Charter Schools Week with our annual Advocacy Day in Sacramento. Please join us on Wednesday, May 4, 2011!

Every year, charter school leaders, parents and supporters head to the Capitol for a day of meetings with your local Legislators on the issues facing charter schools. You bring your stories, information on your school and student artwork; CCSA will provide information on the critical legislation affecting charter schools, and tools to have an effective meeting. There will also be time to network with parents from other schools, and tour the Capitol if you haven't been before.

It's more important than ever to present a unified voice to our state elected officials, and the more charter school supporters they see in the halls of the Capitol on Advocacy Day, the more powerful our message will be. Make your voice heard!

Signing up is easy - just click here and fill out the form. CCSA's Government Affairs team will give you a schedule and all the information you need to have a great day in the Capitol. If you have additional questions on Advocacy Day, email Tanya Hoffman.
